Achieving distinctive space
Our challenge in this assignment was to make a standard shell of a business unit distinctive in comparison with the many other existing business units of this size. The relatively small unit was kept completely transparent. In order to save room we opted for five open areas which are linked by a central staircase. In this way, space consuming circulation areas could be omitted. An extra spatial and at the same time surprising effect was created because there was not a single right angle to be seen in the whole interior. This was given further emphasis by a Rigips ceiling with circular perforation.
